Adam works on high redshift galaxy clusters and is going to use DES in combination with Spitzer to study z > 1 clusters within the SPTpol field.

Do you have any hobbies or play any sports?
As you can see from my picture, I collect Star Wars memorabilia.
Do you have kids? Do they want to be scientists too?
Yes, we have two children but neither appear likely to go into science – both want to be dancers!
What do you think has been the most exciting advance in physics / astronomy in the last 10 years?
Discovery of gravity waves.
What do you think has been the most exciting advance in science / technology in the last 10 years?
Confirmation of the Higgs boson.
Any advice for aspiring scientists?
As with most careers, become a scientist only if you love doing science.
